Cover Supervisor
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Cover Supervisor to join our team.
Ranelagh is an 11-18 co-educational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had five ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas.
The successful candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delivering agreed learning activities, under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher. This may involve routine planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.
The Cover Supervisor’s role involves the delivery of work which is set for students in the case of their usual teacher’s absence. This is not a teaching position but the Cover Supervisor is expected to ensure that students remain on task and complete work to the best of their ability. There are also additional administration duties in curriculum areas to perform if the cover supervisor is not needed to cover absent colleagues.
Ranelagh School has a clear focus on excellence, with the students at the heart of everything we do. It is expected that anyone joining the team will be able to fully support the unique ethos of the school.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.
