Subject Leader of Health and Social Care
Required for January 2025, or sooner, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Subject Leader of Health and Social Care. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and innovation in the subject, coordinating the delivery of excellent standards of teaching and learning across the provision.
Results in BTEC Level 2 and BTEC Level 3 are consistently excellent with over half the cohort achieving a Distinction or better.
Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had five ‘outstanding’ Ofsted reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.
The post would be suitable for a professional seeking to develop as a subject leader. As such we are willing to consider both full and part-time appointments. An ability to also teach PE across the age and ability range would also be an advantage. Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
If you have a very good knowledge and understanding of the subject and you are an excellent teacher looking to develop your career in a supportive and progressive environment, we would welcome an application from you. Opportunities for personal development are excellent.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.
